I purchased the original AYL Silicone Cooking Gloves a few years ago and they have held up very well, except for the issue many folks talk about - the lining coming out/loose/becoming dirty. I still use them daily. Recently my wife needed to take an out-of-town trip for a week and took the old AYL gloves with her. I took this opportunity to purchase a replacement pair. I've only used the new ones a few times but I immediately noticed the new ones are very tight on my fingers but seem to work the same as the original. I assume this change is to address the issue of the lining coming loose or perhaps to make the lining thicker for more heat protection (another common complaint for this types of gloves). Only time till tell.
