This comes with a total of 12.3 oz of lip gloss base, so that’s a TON even if you’re using it to make gifts… This is what I intend to do with it. I recently tried a lip gloss making kit that came with base, color, and flavor - it wasn’t the best kit ever but definitely gave me the confidence I needed to go looking for better individual ingredients to play with in making lip gloss. This is only the start of that journey - I haven’t yet bought any better color or flavoring, because I thought I should first find a base I liked. I think this one is it - it’s a good amount thicker than the one that came with my starter kit, which I personally like better. I think it’s the perfect consistency, and it actually works nicely as a lip gloss on its own - no pooling around the edges of your lips or anything like that, if you just use a modest amount. I’ll definitely play around with it, but I don’t think it’ll be necessary to add any oils to it to change the consistency, unless that helps any color or flavors to mix in. It’s also helpful that the box gives some suggestions for how much color, etc you might add, if you’re a beginner… This product is a great price and so far, works perfectly for what I want!
