Based on our own experience we found this locknut to be of poor quality and not up to industrial standards. Despite being marketed as waterproof, we found that it failed to keep moisture out .The adjustable feature was also inconsistent, making it DIFFICULT to keep the cable securely in place. The only pro is that it is relatively inexpensive, but this comes at the cost of durability and reliability. Overall, we would not recommend this product for any industrial and scientific applications..
