These do the job, but they don't last long. First, be sure to remove the metal clip that attaches to your gear and replace it with a small zip tie. The metal rusts quickly.But the unfixable problem is that the string will stop retracting into the device. At that point, you will have to throw it away.Note that these are sold by several manufacturers, but look closely at the pictures and you'll see they are all the same.I will be buying a different brand to replace the ones that have broken.
