I will preface this by saying that this mattress is super comfy for a camping stowaway. The fabric is soft, smooth, and cool to the touch. I never feel like I'm touching the ground when I lay on it. I'll share that we do not use this for camping and don't think we would because of it's weight. It is also extremely difficult to roll and put away. As an extra bed for kiddos staying the night. Yes. Camping. No. Also, you will need to be sure to have space for storage. It needs more than compact storage space.
