I have had boar bristle brushes in the past and always loved them, have never had one like this with the nylon bristles that are also in place, they are tipped so as to not rip at your scalp. This is just too large for me to use.it is large for a woman's hand, an over sized brush, might be better for a guy. They also throw in a "rat tail” comb as I always called them, they say its a "wide tooth tail comb", well.it’s a fine tooth comb, please use care pulling this through your hair, especially if your hair is wet. They put a small little rake looking implement in with it, its to help clean out hair/fuzz from your brush, that's kinda a neat thing. This set isn’t for me but others might absolutely love it, it looks well constructed and that it is made from bamboo, a fast growing renewable product is a plus.
