I liked that the earring closes tight and has stayed locked even though I sleep on this side of my head most of the night. I loved how bright and sparkly the colors were, and the small piece that is left still is.However, after about 3 months or so wearing it non-stop, and still continuing without changing it out, I started having a lot of pain and couldn’t figure it out right away. I didn’t see signs of infection just felt irritation, so I checked the clasp section but it felt smooth and I just chalked it up to new jewelry + piercing a little over 1 year old. But then in the shower a day or so later, I accidentally ran the backside of my finger across the earring and it scraped my finger. When I got out, I looked in my magnifying mirror and ran my fingernail along the edge of the earring, across the opal and silver transitions, and BINGO! The edge top edge of it on the outer side of my ear where you can see in the pictures, was bulging out. The edges of the opal were sharp and that’s what was causing the irritation.It was only just now, taking these pictures to leave my review I see that the 2/3rd of the opal has actually broken off. So, buyer beware!
