It hurts a lot when it hits the back of your legs. I thought I was good at jump roping.apparently not.sooo im still trying to learn how to jump rope well. The rope was wayyyyy too long for me, therefore I had to adjust it. I had sooo much excess rope length to get rid of when I adjusted the rope to my height.btw, I'm 5'3. I could not fine anyone with a wire cutter in order to cut off the excess rope.so then, I went to walmart, took an axe and chopped down the rope. It was not neatly done, because the ends off the rope had uneven wires sticking out of the rubbery coating.its soo annoying because the rubber caps that came with the rope was too thin to cover the now uneven wires stciking out of the rope. Overall it is an okay jump rope. I just have been having bad luck with it.
