Three settings, I use the highest. It has an audible alarm as well, but that can be turned off so as not to disturb anyone else. The clock can be in one room, and you can sleep in another with the wireless vibrating receiver. I found it simple to pair the two up, and simple to set the two alarms. I wear shorts with pockets to bed and keep the receiver in one of the pockets, rather than under my pillow. I have found that it wakes me from the deepest sleep! The only thing I see that could improve this would be for the buttons at the top of the alarm to light up, mostly when the alarm is going off. I have to turn on a light to see which button to press to turn the alarm off.
