Great hat! It worked great hiking in the Grand Canyon's sun and kept my face and neck from sunburn and has continued to work well on future hiking adventures. It's lightweight but feels really durable so I don't worry about getting it dirty or shoving it into my hiking backpack. The brim is wide enough my neck is usually shaded. The brim is more oval than circular so the part that would shade your shoulders isn't quite wide enough to shade the whole shoulder but the front and back are plenty wide enough. The wire or whatever makes the edge of the brim moldable is stiff enough to keep it out of your sight but I can't always make it curve how I want it. The bow is very cute and stylish, and the chin cord is nicely adjustable in an inconspicuous manner. There's also an adjustable elastic tie inside the hat to make it be the perfect snugness. Between that and the chin strap, it takes a very strong breeze to blow this hat off.
