Loose fitting. for my opinion
I'm 5'7" about 130#'s with a 28" waist and 35" hips. The size medium felt too loose and felt as if they got wet, they may slip off. The shape was somewhat odd with a bit of excess material at the top of the hips. The shorts may have been better if there were a lace to tie them up with.
