I used this for my firepit as the knob and thermocoupler were not working correctly. This part was an exact match to what I pulled out of my fire pit. I installed as directed and tightened all the connections appropriately. On the first use there was an overwhelming smell of propane while the pit was on. We have never had that experience before. The next day I removed all the connections, and reseated and tightened. Restarted the pit and the same.Someone mentioned that this has a larger throughput than the original and I am wondering if this is causing the issue with propane regulation and what is being sent to the flame.All I know is I can't use the firepit right now until I continue to figure out where the issue is with this valve.
