I had this installed on the hotel door. While in the shower someone kept knocking on the room door, I didn’t answer. After I was out of the shower and partially dressed someone knocked on the door, unlocked it and then threw their body weight against the door. This device delayed them but did not stop them. Thankfully it was only the hotel staff thinking the door was broken. The first knock was housekeeping, the person that busted the door open was the mechanics guy.The metal part bent and popped out of place, the door only stopped when it hit the flip out metal lock the hotel has installed. This is great to delay someone entrance into the room, but it will NOT stop someone from breaking into your room.
