These gloves run VERY small. When my son (7yr old) got extra small gloves last summer for little league, they were long in the fingers. My original thought was to look for extra extra small. After reading the reviews, I purchased the extra small, instead. Small may have been an easier to slide on, but i would be concerned if they would be a little too loose than. He plays running back, and i think a tighter gloves to be better than a loose pair. Happy with the one size up, as they are a tight fit!
