If you're going to Australia, New Zealand or South America, this little device is absolutely indispensable if you're taking a lot of technology along with you. It is not a voltage converter. It only adapts the outlet so you can either use 220-240V appliances or charge your USB devices. We used ours to charge our cellphones, translators and tablet in any number of airports and all the hotels and Bnb's we stayed at in Argentina. In a lot of places, they have old technology in homes and businesses so you can't just show up and hope they have what you need. The little device is very well made and has enough USB ports for 3 devices simultaneously.
