I can't live without a pool (I try for it every day)-- I wouldn't be without my zoomers which I've been using for over 25 years since I lived in Palo Alto/Sunnyvale area. These are fins designed for pool exercise; they're rigid and strengthen my muscles, I believe. I have had two knee replacements, so I can't kick very well and the zoomers help me a lot.I go to the deep end, 6 to 8 feet, and just move my legs back and forth in a scissor-like motion. My two knees are doing great--one is going to be 20 years old next year and the other is 14 years old. Both done in California and I think because of my pool exercises with my zoomers, I can get up from the floor if I fall or purposely get on floor. For instance, I can get in and out of bathtub more or less with ease--my legs feel very strong--other people have not had the luck but I say it's hard work and I thank the zoomers.
