Mom's tremors and osteoporosis make eating messy for her and it's upsetting to her well-being. She worries about staining her shirts and worries about me cleaning them and doing extra laundry. She was eating less because of this, and that's not good. All caregivers are looking for any help they can get and every solution to a problem is welcome. If a bib helps a senior eat and reduces worry and stress, it's well worth having. These are great for the ladies, mom loves the flowers and butterflies and she had no problem accepting a bib, though some seniors might. Still, I just told her the truth she already knows: she was worried about dropping food and now she doesn't have to. The bibs wipe up small spills easily with a sponge and can be used several times, then just wash. One headache handled and mom is eating better now. I'd say that's a win.
