Initially I wanted a laptop stand for more space on my tiny desk. Others I looked at either didn't fit a laptop with keyboard or were ugly metal or plastic. Because it's in plain sight, I wanted stylish and this fit the bill. Gives me more space under it and covers the ugly wires behind. See before and after. I'm now looking straight ahead while typing instead of hunched over. Wish I'd bought sooner.
