We bought this to use as a travel bed in the back seat/floor space of our 2018 GMC truck for our 78 lb yellow lab. The extra large fits perfectly and it is very thick, just what we wanted! This is one of the few pads that doesn't actually squish so flat that her hips are on the hard surface underneath. It holds its firmness while being soft for our older girl, seems like quality foam. It did take about a week to fully expand after it arrived vacuum sealed in a tiny bag. We bought a second one to use inside our revain brand travel kennel so we don't have to move it back and forth. If your dog is a chewer this won't hold up, its soft fabric that you could spot wipe. I put a blanket over to keep it clean, easier to wash that after a dirty dog lays on it. We've had it for about a year, holding up well. Very happy with it.
