I bought it as a kit lens along with the E-420. I have been using it for more than a year and no critical shortcomings have been identified. Among staff (standard) lenses, Olympus lenses are considered one of the best. I had to shoot cats, but they do not like to sit still. Autofocus coped in 95% of cases. I shot my wife and a small child, shot the streets of my native city, the lens copes with the functions assigned to it (although I prefer to make portraits on Helios, even if I have to work with pens). Bottom line: as a regular kit lens, it looks quite decent
