I purchased these sandals because I wanted a Birkenstock-style shoe that could stand up to washing. I usually wear a women's 6.5 to 7, and some reviewers have said these run a bit large, but 6 is the smallest size offered. The sandals are indeed a bit long for my feet, but in a loose style like this, it's acceptable. I immediately noticed that the holes for the straps of one sandal were punched slightly differently than the other, but I was able to pierce another hole in each strap with an icepick, so now they fit the same. I found them to be very soft and flexible and quite comfortable, and the dark purple color is nice.
