To start, I am a yoga novice. I'm building my practice but have quite a ways to go so keep that in mind here. This is my first non-slip yoga towel so I have nothing to compare it to except a beach towel. I got it for hot yoga classes. It definitely works better than the beach towel I was using in terms of staying put. I don't really wrap the corners around my mat, although that's a good feature. The towel doesn't slip but my hands did slip when doing a new pose in a class this morning (probably one I had no business doing, but still). I would definitely recommend it.
