This board is great for traveling. I used to compete in chess as a child, so I may have different expectation than most people. I'm used to a tournament size chess mat and that's probably why I was disappointed at the small size. Other than that, I think this 3 in 1 game board is great and is perfect to take on travels. The product is of great value for the price and the games you can play with it. Minus two stars for small size and the craftsmanship can be better.
