Understand when purchasing this that it may not work as intended. There are other factors besides voltage, amperage (or wattage), polarity, and connector. Even if this adapts the connector it still may not work. I had a number of older HP power adapters that were the same voltage and polarity, and sufficient amperage for my new Dell XPS 13, but when I use this to plug them in, I get a warning that the laptop can't determine the supplied wattage and the battery will not charge. Apparently laptop manufacturers have built some degree of communication into the chargers / charging circuits and they may not work cross-manufacturer or between old adapters and new laptops.
