A lot of the comments said to size up but I did and mine were a little large in the waist. I'm about 5"5' and 135ish and I got a size medium and a small probably would've fit me better. I can pull mine up past my belly button (because they're too big) and if I walk around a lot they fall way past it, I'm constantly pulling them up but they are just for a costume so I don't mind too much. I'd rather them be a little loose than super tight. They do have some stretch to them as well so that's also nice.
