I had purchased these boxes to use as a nightstand (as nightstands with drawers are $$$). Since my room is a sloped attic I have my bed on the floor to make the space feel as open as possible so 2 fancy-looking stacked boxes seemed good enough for me! Except that these are boxes. and my 3 cats looove boxes. I have miscalculated.It almost could've worked if the box itself wasn't so fragile. My cats weight ranges from 5-8lbs so whenever ANY of them decide to just sit on it, the top cover sinks and the side edges provide hardly any support.But I understand these are meant for clothes and the box most likely relies on the support of folded clothes. But these boxes should still be strong and stable regardless.For now I have them sitting sidewise facing the wall so (1) my cats dont sit on them and (2) so they cant get into the stuff I have in there. These will eventually relocate into my closet once I find a replacement. So not totally useless which is why I gave it 3 stars.
