I had the purchased the BX150 (not this current model) nearly two years ago. I liked the unique design and it’s slimness for a battery case. There was a quirky design element that required latches to hold the top of the phone case together, those snapped off but the company quickly sent me replacements, another issue was the speaker phone never seemed clear to callers on the other end. Even with these issues I enjoyed the case. Recently I was no longer getting much of a boost from it, which I feel should be expected after using it for so many charge cycles over the last two years, so I was in the market for a new case.The new BX190 has fixed all the issues I was having with my older case. The case will give me slightly over a full recharge on my phone which is great given how thin and lightweight it is. They’ve changed how the phone mounts and it’s now very solid. Lastly, I tested my speakerphone the other day while driving and my conversation came through clearly on the other end. I have not tested the QI capability as I don’t have one of those chargers but I like the fact that with this case I can get the same charging feature that the iPhone 8 has with my iPhone 7.The look of this phone has been changed from the BX150 to a more simple solid black design. I really like the older look as it had a carbon fiber back making it really stand out. Although the design has been simplified they have given the finish of this phone a very soft to the touch feel which is nice. It’s so soft I was afraid at first it might be easy to slip out of my hand but that has proven not to be the case. As a safety side note, it also has a nice raised lip all around the front of the phone and comes with a screen protector (which I did not put on). Overall definitely an improvement over the older BX150 but I do miss the unique look of the older model.My only wish is that it used the lightening cable instead of micro usb as those cables seem to often fail on me.
