I was gifted another gaming laptop riser from someone, and I ended up really liking the concept of having a cooling base for my gaming laptop. After a few weeks of use, I decided that I wanted to purchase something that had a bit more adjustability, and some neat RGB effects. This came in at a reasonable price, and had a whopping SIX fans, unlike the Klin I had been using, which only had four fans.PROSThe sheer adjustability of this riser is excellent. I'm able to easily adjust the height on the fly, and there's multiple levels at which this can be set.Six fans do a reasonable job at keeping a gaming laptop cooler under normal usage. These fans are also backlit with dim blue LED lights, which adds a nice aesthetic.The RGB lighting effects are really neat. I'm a sucker for RGB lights, and this base does it well. They're also much easier to control, as opposed to other cooling bases with similar effects.This is not an expensive base, and definitely feels more substantial than others in the same price range that I've tried.CONSDespite six fans, and the fact that they can keep a gaming laptop cool with normal use, they don;t really seem to make much of a difference when actually gaming. I was still noticing how hot my laptop keyboard was getting while playing Skyrim, or Call Of Duty WWII.The adjustability comes from a thin metal bar underneath the main platform. It's anchored near the middle of the platform, so if you're doing any typing on your laptop, you'll notice a bit of wobbling or bouncing, so it's not the most stable base.Overall, it's a nice looking piece if you're looking for a riser for your laptop, and want to be able to keep it a bit cooler while using it. If you're looking for something to keep a more powerful rig cool, this may not be the best riser for that. I've been using mine at work, and I've been happy with it in that application. I would purchase again for my office.
