An adapter from 8bitdo or mayflash will help to make an understandable Windows xbox controller out of dualsense at the cost of a microphone and vibration feedback (which did not work for me even through Steam). Steam remap will have to be turned off and, possibly, removed as a device, so that the next time you turn it on, Steam does not get in and start acting weird again. SCP toolkit and shibari+vgemu, which do the same thing as adapters, but programmatically, have not tried it.
