They were unware or suggested using other foreverchemicals which would mask the Oder and make it more toxic if used, unstoppables and gain detergent. First washed in strong Lye solution (1/2 cup to 6 cups hot water) which pulled a dark and foamy sludge from the product, a second wash with 1 cup of food grade Lye and 6 cups of hot water, more black foam came loose, third wash was with washing soda and enzyme spray I can now handle and touch themThe look very nice after getting cleaned so they could be used.
