I have read most of the reviews -- which made me decide to purchase for use at my standing desk. It is quiet and the action is smooth -- but I am going to have to return it. I simply do not have the balance to use standing up -- even when I am at my desk. I would have to grip the edge securely to feel safe. And that defeats the purpose of moving while working.When I realized I had this problem, I re-read the reviews more closely -- and some did warn that balance is very tricky when standing.The only way I could use it --lean forward, stick my butt out and curve my back -- see photo of woman in black shorts at top of page. And that is bad posture.Some with better balance could exercise at a raised desk but only if they did not need to type or write -- just phone calls. I am going to check out walking pads for under my desk.
