poor quality D ring and feels thinner material would go with "LOVE STORY " instead again

Size was right for what I was looking for as hard to find a 10x15 sun shade. However after 1 month the D rings started to rust and bleed into the material which hasn't happened in sun shade bought from Love Story brand. Also it could be psychological but the material feels thinner than other sun shades purchased. Did contact customer service that recommend spraying with WD-40, but shouldn't have to do that for a supposed waterproof sun shade. Would have been easy if they just used stainless steel.
