We have multiple of these locks in our office. I had 2 of them stop actuating the lock mechanism (so it would tell you locked or unlocked, but it didn't do anything.) I emailed with harfoseller (sent a video at their request) and they promptly sent 2 replacements. The new locks worked great (of course the old ones did too until they quit).So, why not a 5: You can't export or download from one lock to the next so in an office environment, every person has to touch every lock. Also, the finger print isn't always accurate -- but you have hundreds of slots so just have the same person record their finger twice and it'll have 6 images to work from - you just have to record what record numbers each person takes because it only shows data by ID # and if you have to delete someone, you need to delete all of their IDs. They can have a finger print and a unique PIN code (the pin codes always work). Also note: you can't download log data -- You can only view it on the lock's LED screen.Lastly, this lock does not have program timers (like unlock at 8am and auto-lock at 5pm) and it is indoor rated only.Otherwise, the batteries last several months and they are easy to replace (without losing the programming). It does have a PASSAGE MODE so the first person in can key in that code and the door will remain unlocked until a valid user locks it again.All in all, this lock does what we need it to.
