I'm really into coloring, not only because I enjoy it and it's fun, but also because it's a great stress reliever. I won't lie - I'm a colored pencil snob. Over the years I've found my favorite brand of colored pencils, but they are pretty expensive, so replenishing them is not easy or cost-effective for just a hobby. So I've been on the lookout for other brands are that are similar to my favorite (PrismaColor), but a little easier on the wallet. And I think I found a winner with this Artisto set.I like colored pencils with a soft lead, so there's not much effort to color or press hard on a possibly delicate paper. Artisto does have a soft lead! I didn't really like how blunt the pencil tips were, which made it a little difficult to get into smaller areas of the artwork, but once I sharpened them with an electric pencil sharpener, they were great.That is another thing I appreciate about the Artisto colored pencils; when sharpening with the electric sharpener, the lead (though soft) was strong enough that it didn't break upon sharpening.This set of 72 is divided into 3 trays in a metal case. The trays are a little hard to get a grip on to lift out, but nothing worrisome.I really loved the vibrant colors of the pencils, the colors just pop off the page! Adding this brand to my favorites for colored pencils, and will be recommending them to others who enjoy the same features I do. Great for adults and students alike!
