THIS PRODUCT IS NOT MEANT TO LIGHTEN HAIR. Its meant to help protect it while using the rest of the lightening shampoo and spray. I tried this product along with the shampoo, conditioner, and lightening treatment because of quarantine. I couldn't stand how brown and dull my hair looked. All the products worked great, but since I have bleached hair i wanted to take the steps to moisturize it while doing the treatment. I only wash my hair and use this product once a week, and don't wash my hair every day like recomended on the shampoo bc mine is much too dry to wash more than once a week but I'm sure the results would be even better if i could use the shampoo daily. Definitely a good investment for quarantine, giving some dimension to natural hair, or just stretching out visits between salon appointments.
