Note that the wire is too thick to pass through the eye of a beading needle. However, they work fine for sewing needles and tapestry needles. The wire can sometimes twist on itself (not sure how to describe this). So far, none of the threaders I've used have broken, and I've done a number of cross stitch projects so far. The product I received came in a clear plastic storage box, and had only three colors, not the four colors shown in the listing's photo. I have more than enough of these to last a lifetime, but if I needed more of them, I'd buy them again. They are a lot sturdier than the cheap tin threaders, the wire of which pulls out so easily. As noted before, the wire of these colored plastic threaders is on the thicker side.
