I have not been able to use this yet, when I got it and showed off my new toy to a veteran magnet fisherman, he said I should have gone bigger. I figured I wouldn’t be able to lift 400 lbs on my own so it wouldn’t matter, I’m just looking for junk, not trying to raise the titanic. Apparently there is a formula for depth and drag that a serious person would google. I just thought,” neat, I want that”, lol. The kit is complete and seems decent quality, this should be fine for shallower water, though I’m afraid all I will find is rusty fish hooks, old batteries and guns. Reminder that only steel and iron are strong magnetic metals.
