UPDATE: I received a replacement clock from Reacher, and it is performing exactly as advertised. I enjoy and appreciate both alarm clocks, and the wheel that allows for minute adjustments to brightness. Perhaps my favorite feature (not withstanding the white noise-- which is fantastic), is the manner in which the white noise diminishes just a moment before the alarm goes off. I tend to wake up well before my wife, and the white noise going silent often wakes me a split second before the alarm, which allows me to silence it before waking my wife.It has become my go-to clock, and I have no problems recommending to future sleepers for use. The company was also quite proactive in reaching out to me to offer a replacement, which is far better than I would have expected.Bad units happen in manufacturing. This one has been made right, and it's a winner all around.I purchased this clock to add white noise to my room in an effort to enhance sleep. What I have learned after a few nights of use is this: it doesn't work. A clock's main mission is to keep time (yeah, it's a shocker). This one resets frequently to 12:00 for no apparent reason. Go to sleep at 9:45 PM, wake up at 2 AM with no white noise and a clock that reads 12:00. Reset, go to sleep. sleep late and wake up to a clock that is several hours behind and alarm has been reset to 12:00. I used it for three nights, and have since retired it to the Island of Misfit Alarm Clocks. In theory, a great idea ---- in practice, completely worthless.
