It might be OK and work OK. I only need it for a few light thread chasings. Haven't used it yet. But one obvious issue that I already have is that the tap is not marked in any way. It has no stamping or laser etching or even a package that says 12mmx1.75 on it. Now I have to come up with a way to do it myself. No way I am just tossing it in my tool box to have the size lost forever. Again, its not marked at all. But why wasn't it marked at the factory? Well because you get what you pay for I suppose. And a cheap China made tap will be just that. Just be aware.
