A few advantages include the fact that there are no customer complaints when driving on asphalt, ice, or packed snow. They do a good job of maintaining the road. Spikes in place. Excellent braking.
Other disadvantages include an increase in the required stopping distance when driving on freshly fallen snow. When driving on freshly cleaned asphalt, there is some noise, but it is not a deal breaker.
