PROS:- very easy to cut the excessive foam to cut it to my own shoe size (scissors work fine)- has tab in back to help pull out insert from shoe (but it's hard to insert it or pull it out even with this tab because my shoes are very tight and these inserts are rock hard)- remote is easy to operate. but it doesn't turn the insoles "ON", only off and regulates 3 heating modesCONS:- every time I want to use the insert, I have to take them out of the shoes to turn the ON button on; I cannot do this from the remote (the remote is only here to switch between the heat modes and to turn them off)- the inserts are rock-hard and so thick, it was impossible for me to fit my foot into my various shoes, making these insoles practically unusable!- the heating element is only under the heel of the foot, so if you can succeed and get your entire foot and those insoles into a shoe, but your toes are cold, these inserts won't do you any good since they only heat the heel but not the toes- even after cutting them to my shoe size, it was quite hard inserting them because they are rock-hard! And if I were to use these regularly, I would have to force them into my shoes on an ongoing basis because they turn ON at the insert, not with the remote control. totally not logical.I cannot believe I fell for these insoles! I should have thought beforehand how my foot will fit with such a thick insole into my shoes! Also, the fact that I have to take them out every time to just turn them ON, is just obnoxious!I give them 2 stars for the fact that when I received the insoles, they DID and DO properly work (i.e. heat up). however these things are very impractical! I won't be able to use them.
