Display port solves problems
After 2 years, I noticed that my computer had 2 Display Port outlets. I had been trying to use 2 monitors and having difficulty and the VGA was not the highest quality. Neither of my monitors accepted DP input. I purchased a DP to HDMI cable as well as a DP to DVI ( I just wanted to try each, I'm sure that 2 of either would have been fine.) My only concern was that the 2 Display Ports might produce identical signals for mirroring displays, but they produced a dual monitor environment which I recommend highly. Cables arrived quickly. Price was outstanding. Now I know what Display Port is. I thought they were HDMI outputs, but the HDMI cable wouldn't fit. That is what started the research.
