The product seems to be sturdy but I have yet to use it. The instructions for installations are poorly written and are written for units that are already assembled. These crossbars come in pieces and you first have to put them together before installing them - there are no directions for part assembly. Once assembled, one of the crossbars fit on fairly smoothly. The other did not fit so well, and it was because of the plastic that slides into the rail. After some fighting with it, and a healthy dose of WD40, I got it on. Better directions, and directions for part assembly would make this product better.
