This case is very well made and Super strong. The fingerprint scanner works great out of the box without any problems. I did run into a problem when I had to remove the protective screen protector, but I have solved the problem and I would like to share the solution with you. By the way, I have tried other brands and this case is the best. But, eventually the screen protector will get dust or dirt or hairs under it, and then the phone and screen protector needs to be cleaned. This is what worked for me after much trial and error:#1 Remove the phone case and clean the phone, #2 clean the screen protector with soap and warm water (especially the fingerprint scanner circle), and only use soap and water, #3 dry the screen protector with a microfiber cloth while not touching the fingerprint scanner circle, #4 clean the rest of the case with microfiber cloth and make sure case and phone are dry, #5 and here is the TRICK - use clear scotch tape on the sticky side (inside) of the fingerprint scanner to remove any dust or debris and use it several times using the sticky side of the scotch tape against the interior sticky side of the fingerprint scanner circle (this will clean and restore the stickiness to the fingerprint scanner circle, #6 put the case back over the phone and press the bubbles out of the fingerprint scanner circle on the outside of the case (if done correctly the fingerprint scanner circle will have no bubbles and it will stick back to the screen perfectly. Now it has been restored back to like new and everything will work correctly again. If it doesn't work the first time, try again and remember that the inside of the fingerprint scanner circle can only be cleaned with soap and water, and the it is of the utmost importance to use clear tape to pull off the debris on the inside of the fingerprint scanner where it sticks to the screen. I thought I was going to have to throw this case away, but after using the tape on the fingerprint scanner circle, the phone started scanning fingerprints again as good as new. And I tried other brands and the fingerprint scanner on them didn't even work the first time, so I would honestly recommend this case and just learn the proper way to clean it. I hope this helps. I am very happy now myself after figuring out this trick because this phone case is awesome and now it is working perfectly again.
