This is a very nice boot. The color in the picture threw me as I thought it might be golden or a marbled look. They are actually a pretty even medium brown. No yellow blotches. A very nice even medium brown. I am returning them because I didn't look closely enough at the stitching. It is very light, with a lighter boot base. This would make sense as the color of the boot is not super dark. I personally prefer the "tan" color boot with the darker stitching. I wear a size 8 and read so many reviews about size. If I wear a thin sock, the 8 fits me snug, but not too tight. There is wiggle room for my toes. I have other boots that I wear a smal
