Well, I was a little nervous before I started but after the first pass with the clippers I became more confident. I'd watched some videos before trying these clippers since I've never used any kind before. The clippers were easy to use. I started out with the longest guard so I wouldn't cut too much and gradually changed to a closer cut. They were easy to hold without any fatigue. Not having a cord was great since I circled the chair about 10 times and I didn't have to untangle myself out of a cord. No problems around ears but I was careful in that area. I'm looking forward to using these again in about a month when my husband will need a trim.
