My daughter is 6 and most jump ropes are too big for her (but she tries her little heart out), so the fact that she got to use this kit to make her own made her very happy. She's done a bunch of those bead bracelets and enjoys doing then, so when I gave her this kit, I explained that this kit was like a giant bead bracelet but instead she'd be making a jump rope. Her eyes lit up and she was very excited!The kit makes a single jump rope. The instructions were very wordy, but quite clear, which was appreciated and helpful. I'm not good with knots but I can tie a simple knot and thankfully, that's all that is required here.Overall my daughter enjoyed it, loves her jump rope and when she gets a bit taller if she still has any interest in it, I'd absolutely buy her another one. It's held up really well so far!
