There are six individually wrapped rattles in this set. The rattles are made of hard plastic with some silicone pieces connected to five of the rattles. The silicone pieces add a softness and an additional texture for the baby to feel and chew on. Each are large enough to avoid any choking hazard.The rattles each rattle at different levels, from soft and subtle to loud and blatant. One doesn’t even rattle at all. They come in different colors and shapes and can be given as a set or, since they are individually wrapped, can be given one at a time.They can be boiled or washed in soapy water.Each has a different sized handle for various little hands though most teething babies should be able to handle all of them.This is a good, solid set for a reasonable price and probably all the rattles you’ll need for many months to come.
