The Luminara Flameless Candles gives our dining room a dash of elegance. The candles arrived in a well packed box with easy to read instructions. Each candle takes two AA batteries. They have a switch on the bottom to turn on or off manually or a timer that goes on every 24 hours for 5 hours. Had them out of the box and working in a few minutes.The candles work by projecting white LED light on a moving flame shaped metal flag. The result is an optical illusion of a flickering flame. From a distance the illusion is very realistic. I made a video but it doesn't really do the illusion justice, they look better in person.The candles themselves are very well designed and look like the real thing. The are actual wax, short of not having a wick they are real candles.The set comes with a remote control that allows further control of timing, flickering and dimmer.These are a great set of candles without the fire risk. They add a lot to the ambience of our house as the holidays approach.
