What a delight for the eyes, this set is! I’ve seen many a decorative calligraphy set during my 40 years of being an on/ off calligrapher, but I have never seen one that has a ‘Steam Punk’ motif! Very giftable, this set features numerous pieces of colored wax, a candle, a letter opener, a jar of ink, a pen and ink holder, SEVEN really cool seals, a stamp that can exchange one seal for another by way of screwing it off and on, a few different sized nibs, a little pocket sized leather bound journal/ sketchbook combination,…and last but not least, a choice of TWO writing pens! The one that is fancifully Steampunk features a feather ( mine is purple), with elaborate metal steam punk accents ( please see my posted image), and the other is essentially a plain fountain pen. Just beautiful. I tested out a few of the nibs, and those that I tested worked very fine lined and smoothly, which is not always the case with these things. I would advise that you keep a sponge and two little "shot” sized glasses nearby with clear water in one, and a little tiny touch dishwasher liquid soap and water in another so that you can thoroughly clean the nibs between uses immediately without forgetting, which can result in clogged up nibs that won’t work as smoothly anymore. In that way, you can enjoy this set for quite some time.
